Retail Minded’s Nicole Leinbach Reyhle recently met with Evanston, IL boutique owner Victoria Lyman to interview her for the retail magazine Dance Retailer News. Lyman had recently purchased, relocated and redecorated an ailing dance-wear boutique in the charming town of Evanston, IL – home to the Northwestern Wildcats,just north of Chicago. Her recently renovated store, Allegro Boutique, looks more like a swanky hotel lobby than a shop for dancers, gymnasts and more. Allegro is my neighboor merchant here on Central Street, and also where I buy ballet gear for my daughters. What Victoria has done to the store is really amazing, in terms of looks, offerings, and service!
