ASD Market Week Kicks Off With Fresh Vibes, Complimentary Education & More
ASD Market Week has been a longtime favorite trade show among thousands of retailers, having recently been awarded the #1 trade show by Trade Show Network News in 2016. With their first show of 2017 having kicked off on Sunday, March 19th, in Las Vegas, it was no surprise to see a rush of retailers anxious to get on the ASD show floors and connect with familiar vendors while also meeting many first time exhibitors to ASD, as well. From the recently added Start Up Arena featuring various Shark Tank alum to the newly switched floor plan of the Gift section to the North Hall versus the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center to the expansive educational line up taking place all four days of the show, attendees had no shortage of retail-minded experiences.
I try to never miss an ASD show… they never disappoint,” shared Patricia Wyings, a retailer based in Utah.
For Wyings and other longtime attendees of ASD Market Week, change was a part of their Day 1 experience at ASD. In an effort to better accommodate the expansive inventory assortment and attendee buying goals, ASD recently made a floor change to help retailers shop more seamlessly for their stores.
“This show is the first time our Gift and Toys section is being held in the North Hall, anchored by our Cash & Carry section. With this change, we feel confident our attendees will more easily navigate our show floors and enjoy a strong buying experience,” shares Holly Harris, Show Director for ASD Market Week.
In addition this recent floor change, attendees can expect many of the same stand-out experiences delivered by ASD Market Week. This includes free education from the Independent Retailer Conference, held in the Central Lobby and taking place all four days of the show. Among the presentations taking place by the Independent Retailer Conference presented by Enspire Commerce included a panel of Shark Tank alum, which took place this past Sunday, March 19th.
Retail should be like an amusement park,” David Levich, one of the co-founders of Sun-Staches, shared with the Independent Retailer Conference audience during the Shark Tank alum panel. Expanding on this, Levich explained that retail should be an experience for customers.
Levich and Sun-Staches is located in the North Hall of ASD Market Week, alongside the newly introduced Start Up Arena featuring various other Shark Tank alum.
