Day 1 of ASD Kicks Off in Style

Day one of the August 2013 ASD Show kicks off in style, as ASD welcomes thousands of independent retailers to their expansive show floors. With vendors represented in fashion, beauty, craft, apparel, sports licensing, jewelry and more, there’s something for nearly every retailer to take back to their stores.

Retail Minded searched among the handbag, luggage and outdoor accessory vendors today – finding it hard to narrow down some of our favorite picks. Here’s our list of a handful (because there are thousands) of vendors that are indie focused in supporting retail buyers with their unique buying goals, as well as providing fantastic product assortment.


Jacki Design 

All things girly make up Jacki Designs, offering stylish cosmetic cases, jewelry displays, assorted luggage and luggage accessories, music boxes and wine stoppers. Known for their cosmetic bags yet trusted for their sell-thru, Jacki Design is a show-stopper at the ASD Show – literally stopping buyers in their tracks. Their colorful yet practical inventory assortment make great additions to boutique store shelves, gift shops, hospital stores and more. Golden Bridge International

California based Hipack Travelwear is no stranger to the ASD Show, and counts this among their favorite shows to support independent retailers in their luggage, soft backpacks and duffle bag needs. With no minimums to, it’s no surprise indie retailers return again and again to Hipack Travelwear. Their colorful, hard  case luggage collections (as shown on the left) are popular buys for indie stores, as are their vast assortment of other luggage styles, sizes and options.
