Day 1 of ASD Market Week Opens With Celebratory Dance & Excited Attendees

Who doesn’t like a good party?

At ASD Market Week, attendees can expect to find the right products for their stores while also having a good time. To help kick off day one of ASD Market Week, Source Direct – one of the nine sections of ASD Market Week – welcomed buyers, exhibitors, media and more to a celebratory Lion Dance to kick off the upcoming four days ahead. Known in some cultures to symbolize happiness, luck and prosperity, the Lion Dance – similar to the Dragon Dance that is often used in Chinese New Year celebrations – brought attendees to their feet and ready to help celebrate ASD Market Week.

We wanted to kick off the show in a celebratory fashion, and this helped us do this,” explained Linh Vu, Marketing Manager of Source Direct at ASD Market Week. 

In addition to opening the day with a festive dance and ribbon cutting, ASD Market Week has a full schedule in the days ahead of various events to keep attendees engaged and connected. Among the many things planned include a fourth, consecutive appearance by the Independent Retailer Conference, which has brought retail experts that include Lightspeed POS, ShipStation, PAAY, RETAILMavens, Constant Contact, SnapRetail, Retail Studio Effect, SKU IQ, BoxFox and more to their stage for ASD attendees to engage, learn and connect with some of the top thought leaders and retail experts. Additionally, ASD has an opening night party scheduled for August 2, 2015, at the Sayers Club at the SLS Hotel where they will also be hosting an open bar from 10 to 11 pm.

Attendees of ASD Market Week can also expect to gain what they come to ASD Market Week for again and again – and that’s trusted vendors that deliver the latest in retail must have finds. ASD Market Week is known for bringing together buyers and sellers to help create dynamic, successful retail businesses – and this ASD Market Week is no exception. With over 500 new vendors, attendees can feel confident they will discover something new that’s perfect for their stores while still finding their tried, true and trusted products that they count on seeing each time they return to ASD. Among the new vendors that stood out today include XO Mints (Booth #SL3543) and Artifackts (Booth #SL2236), while attendee favorite Bigmouth Inc. returned to ASD Market Week with 20 new products to debut (Booth #SL1313). Sunstaches of Shark Tank fame is also at ASD Market Week once again, returning with new styles from the popular Minions movie, as well as many other sunstache styles that you won’t want to miss.
