From the Editor: Join me in NYC!

To My Retail Minded Readers, Retailers, Friends & Supporters:

I have always been a believer that education should be ongoing, and there is a chance to learn something in nearly everything we do. Day to day experiences can certainly teach us a lot, but every now and again, it’s important to push ourselves to learn more and step outside our “box”. For many of you, your “box” is likely your store – where I’m certain you spend a lot of time! Through Retail Minded, we try and support retailers while they are in their unique “boxes” through our blog, magazine and other educational tools, however once a year we would love to see you face to face! That’s why I am thrilled to share with you that we are hosting our second annual Independent Retailer Conference in NYC on May 20, 2013.

In July of 2012, Retail Minded & Nolcha Events hosted the first ever retail conference dedicated entirely to independent retail businesses! We had a great turn out – bringing in retailers and retail supporters from 13 states! This year, we’re at it again and look forward to sharing news, education and support to retailers and retail supporters the “boutique” way – offering timely panels on industry trends, delivering keynotes to uniquely support indie businesses, introducing select businesses to our attendees and much, much more!

This one day, action packed event offers retailers and community leaders the chance to engage, learn and connect with retail experts, industry leaders, service providers and like-minded entrepreneurs. Attendees can expect an interactive experience that leaves them better educated and more inspired – with takeaway tools to bring back to their stores and retail communities. Whether you’re a veteran to retail, a new store owner or someone who supports retailers from behind the scenes, we hope you will join us May 20, 2013 in NYC to become even more “retail-minded”!
