Shark Tank Alum Stand Out at ASD Market Week’s March 2017 Show

The floors of ASD Market Week have been bustling with activity since their doors opened – and with the last day ahead of us, attendees are maximizing their time to experience and discover all that ASD Market Week has to offer. Among these experiences includes the new addition of the Start-Up Arena at ASD Market Week featuring Shark Tank alum.

This is my first time at ASD Market Week and it’s been fantastic,” shared Carrie Ushiba, President and Co-Founder of PawdPet – protective plush pals, a protective tech holder as seen on Shark Tank. 

Joining Ushiba is Solemates, Yourself Expression, Chapul, PsiBands, Zizzy Bee Bags and Illumisink – all brands having been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank. Additionally, SunStaches once again returned to ASD and has been a long time attendee of ASD Market Week.

PawdPet

After traveling with her small children, Carrie Ushiba noticed she was having to hold phones and tablets to keep her children occupied with videos and games. She hand-made her solution…. a cuddly plush bunny that could hold, position and safely carry the children’s iPod Touch. Instantly this creation became her children’s favorite toy and other children and parents would often ask where they could get one. As a result, PawdPet was born. The company has since expanded its product line and thankfully, parents everywhere are more confident letting their kiddos enjoy tech toys without the fear they may get broken or damaged.

To many, shoes are art… and who would want to ruin art? Solemates was founded with this idea in mind by two girls who – very simply – didn’t want to ruin their shoes.
