American Small Businesses Band Together to Become a Powerful Presence

Cedarburg, Wisconsin, February 2019—Small businesses now have a way to compete on a national stage with the launch of a new e-commerce website. The site SHOP MAIN STREET ONLINE is for small American businesses only.

SHOP MAIN STREET ONLINE is the brainchild of Patty Gallun Hansen and Brian Bateman. Both Bateman and Hansen are small business owners themselves. Patty is a graduate gemologist and owns a 70-year-old family business. She was a former Executive Director for a Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce. Bateman is an accomplished computer scientist and engineer who built the site. He is also an expert in SEO (search engine optimization).

Patty and Brian are passionate about improving the livelihood, clientele and audience base of small American businesses. They offer an avenue in which small businesses “can compete with the big guys!” said Brian. “We give American businesses a risk free way to sell their products or services online, without having to worry about the expense associated with building their own e-commerce site or web-site.”

“But it doesn’t stop there!” continued Patty. SHOP MAIN STREET ONLINE is socially conscious. With each transaction, Brian and Patty donate 10% of their profits back to participating communities and non-profit organizations. “Everyone, the shoppers and the sellers can feel good about being on SHOP MAIN STREET ONLINE. Having recently launched the site more than two-dozen businesses have signed on. The process to get started is user friendly, according to Bateman. “Although, if a tech challenged business has difficulties we are available for support via email, phone or screen sharing” said Brian.

The site is live and is being marketed in their own backyard. The two are now reaching out to small communities across the country. “Our goal is to help small businesses all over America. When small American businesses join together to create a platform where they alone are featured and highlighted we all win!” said Patty. “We are America’s Local Marketplace,” concluded Brian.
