The Independent Retailer Conference Expands Their Event Dates By Partnering With Trade Shows

Geneva, IL (June 6, 2014) – The Independent Retailer Conference (IRC), founded in 2011, has expanded their conference dates to include pop up conferences at various trade shows. Having previously held flagship conferences in New York City and Chicago, the IRC made their debut trade show conference appearance at the March 2014 ASD Show, the nation’s largest general consumer merchandise trade show with nearly 40K attendees.

Our goal has always been and will continue to remain supporting independent merchants in their efforts of succeeding in a competitive marketplace. By working with event partners such as the ASD Show or the Craft and Hobby Association’s Mega Show, we are able to connect with more retailers and ultimately better support them in their big picture retail goals. Collectively, our event partners, our IRC sponsors and our industry leading speakers work together to help retailers gain education specific to independent retailers, up-to-date industry news and realistic insight to bring back to their stores,” Independent Retailer Conference co-founder, Nicole Leinbach Reyhle, states. Reyhle is also the Publisher of Retail Minded Magazine.

The Independent Retailer Conference is dedicated entirely to the unique lifestyle and responsibilities of retail small business owners.  Their education-rich, action-packed events offer retailers the chance to engage, learn and connect with retail experts, industry leaders, service providers and like-minded entrepreneurs. Attendees of an IRC experience can expect an interactive event that leaves them better educated and more inspired – with takeaway tools to bring back to their stores.

Past sponsors of the Independent Retailer Conference have included Shopify, Constant Contact, SnapRetail, MOO and Yelp. Constant Contact’s Ron Cates has been to the last two Independent Retailer Conferences, with a third scheduled, and shared his thoughts.

I feel incredibly lucky, because I get invited to speak at some of the country’s most prominent events on a regular basis. From a presenter’s point of view, the Independent Retailer Conference is as good as it gets and is now one of my favorites. They provide an amazing venue, pay attention to every detail, and the audience is fantastic.”

March 2014 ASD Show attendee Larry Campbell, a Hawaii based retailer, also shared his insight on the IRC, stating that, “I traveled from Hawaii to the ASD Show specifically because of the Independent Retailer Conference, and am thrilled I can both buy at ASD as well as gain great education for my store.”

The Independent Retailer Conference is committed to delivering quality education specific to independent merchants – whether they sell online or have a brick and mortar store. By attending an IRC event, merchants can gain trusted retail insight as well as take the time they need to buy for their stores. It’s a winning combo that continues to grow for the IRC, with 2015 that include pop up conferences at the ASD Show, the Craft and Hobby Association’s MEGA Show, the Sports Licensing Show and many more.
