ASD Hosts Buying Groups To Help Stores Thrive

By now, most of you likely know that ASD Trade Show is a fabulous resource for a variety of indie retailers. From home to fashion to garden to  novelty to toys and so much more, ASD offers a one-stop destination for retailers to buy from nearly 3K vendors for their stores. What you may not know is that ASD also hosts several buying groups each show to help your business succeed.

Buying groups are groups of collective retailers that represent hundreds of retail stores. They come together using their extensive buying power in search of unique products for their business as well as sharing important business insights with each other. This is perfect for groups of indie retailers who come together to buy for their respective stores.

Groups who have attended and or held their meetings at ASD includes:

  • AHVRP (Association for Hospital Volunteer Resource Professionals) – Represents 1000+ hospital gift shops
  • Coach House Gifts – Represents 77 stores
  • Ideation – Represent 350+ stores
  • NACS (National Association of College Stores) – Represents 3,000 college stores throughout US, Canada, and more than 34 other countries
  • Sierra Pacific Crafts – 120 store membership filling nearly two million feet of retail space and 360 million dollars in retail sales
  • Sourcing Edge – Represents national retailers, drug stores, supermarkets and wholesale distributors. Supplies men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, accessories, home goods and other items to the wholesale industry
  • Southwest Buying Group – More than 50+ members that represent gift shops around the US
  • And many more!
While the ASD Show that is around the corner and beginning March 25th may be too late for you to attend, planning ahead for their August show isn’t. Learn more about ASD – whether attending by yourself or with a group of retailers at www.asdonline.com.
