News America Marketing Teams with Find&Save to Deliver SmartSource Magazine The Digital Edition

New York, NY and Los Gatos, CA – (June 11, 2014) – News America Marketing, the premier publisher of coupons in the U.S. and Canada, producing billions of coupons annually, today announced the launch of the digital version of their iconic coupon insert, SmartSource Magazine, in partnership with Wanderful Media™, the company behind Find&Save®. Find&Save is a comprehensive collection of local sales and products that is featured in online newspaper sites across the country. SmartSource Magazine has appeared in Sunday newspapers across the country for decades, offering consumers savings on everyday products from brands they trust.SmartSource Magazine The Digital Edition offers many of the same savings found in the print version of the paper, available on Find&Save, via select newspaper websites.

Newspaper websites are a natural delivery medium for the new “e-FSI” as, much like traditional newspapers, they are a resource to which consumers turn before they shop. Among the 8 in 10 adults who use the Internet, 48% read a digital edition of their local daily newspapers in an average week1 with sites experiencing increasing numbers of unique visitors, ensuring a broad and engaged digital audience.SmartSource Magazine The Digital Editionextends the reach of SmartSource Magazine by an additional circulation of one million, preserving the equity of the FSI by giving participating brands advertising as well as promotional value.

Consumers will be able to find the new SmartSource The Digital Edition coupons on Find&Save in many of the largest newspaper markets across the country, including Phoenix, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Newark, Cleveland, Fort Worth, Miami, Dallas, Denver and many more, in addition to going directly to FindnSave.com. The markets and publications were selected based on their widespread readership and proximity to prominent Direct2Card retailers such as Kroger, Shop Rite, Ralphs and more, with expansion expected in the future.

Redemptions on print-at-home and Direct2Card coupons have increased 36% in the last year2, making digital an increasingly popular channel for coupon promotions. While News America remains committed to traditional print free-standing inserts, the addition of SmartSource Magazine The Digital Edition is a natural extension of their business.

With The Digital Edition, consumers automatically get access to an online version of their local coupon insert, making the coupons accessible to online readers of publications already on a client’s market list. Similar to print FSIs, the e-FSI includes coupons as well as equity advertising so marketers can highlight brand benefits. Brands can choose to have their coupons print-at-home-enabled, Direct2Card-enabled, or both. Additionally, all Direct2Card enabled coupons will be posted on the participating retailers’ sites, and print-at-home enabled coupons will be featured on SmartSource.com.

SmartSource Magazine: The Digital Edition is available to all brands who participate in the print edition of SmartSource Magazine.
